Bristol City's Nyatanga vows to learn from red card
16.01.10
Dismissed for two mis-timed tackles, Nyatanga recalled: "The only thing in my mind was being desperate to get the ball back for us.
"Unfortunately, their player got there just before me and, in hindsight, maybe I should not have made that tackle. But things happen so quickly in football, you have to make split-second decisions. I made the wrong one on that occasion and I'll be careful not to make it again.
"I was really upset at the time, but these things make you stronger and, providing you don't make the same mistake twice, you can say you have learned from it.
"It's done and dusted now and, hopefully, the next time I come across that kind of situation, I will deal with it a bit better."
Handed a one-match ban by the Football Association , Nyatanga spent a frustrating spell on the sidelines while City's FA Cup third-round tie against Cardiff and Championship fixture at Crystal Palace fell prey to the mid-winter freeze.
Having served his ban when the Robins finally met Cardiff in midweek, he is now available for this afternoon's home game against Preston North End . Yet given City's improved defensive showing in that match, Nyatanga realises he may now have to exercise patience while trying to re-establish himself in manager Gary Johnson 's starting line-up.

Creative, Clutter-Free Ideas For Displaying Christmas Cards ...
by Leah Moss
It's begun! Our first Christmas card arrived in the mail yesterday and hence commenced the welcomed onslaught of mail-carried holiday cheer. We vowed last year— after seeing our entry table fall prey to an unruly array of cards— to preempt the happy attack by having an easy and orderly card display system in place. Here are a few favorite ideas.
• Tack a few ribbons to a door and pin cards vertically. This one has buttons attached for card hooks, but you could make a more simplified version by using clothes pins or paper clips to attach the cards directly to the ribbon. Using this idea on an inside of a pantry door is great for those who like to avoid visual clutter, but still wan to display cards and pictures of loved ones.
We did this last year on the door to our entryway closet. Ended up stapling the cards to the ribbon. They needed to be connected at two places in order to hang right and not twist the ribbon. And cards that opened bottom-to-top worked much better than those that opened right-to-left. But a small dot of museum wax kept them closed.
Everyone who came in loved the look. Tip: start your ribbons high up on the door; they get full really quick.
Love the ideas. Displaying the cards is a great way to acknowledge how you value the good wishes received from your friends and family... what the holidays are about! You can also tuck amidst the branches of your Christmas tree or tie on with pretty ribbon. The colorful cards make lovely decorative additions to your tree!

I've done the ribbon on the wall idea (I attach ornaments to the end of them to weigh them down so the ribbon doesn't twist.. also I staple them) and the doorframe. Also one year I did Martha Stewart's house of cards idea, glue them shut and cut a slit in each, then fit them together however you can to make a house. It's maddening...
